The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) permits the province of Manitoba to nominate economic-class immigration candidates for Canadian permanent residence.

The invitations, known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs), were issued through three MPNP immigration streams: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas and International Education.

The LAAs were distributed as follows in the July 18 draw:

  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 110
  • Skilled Workers Overseas: 40

The MPNP said 29 of the LAAs issued went to candidates with a valid profile in the federal Express Entry system.

Canada Express Entry is Canada’s fundamental source of high-skilled foreign talent. The system manages the pool of candidates for three of Canada’s main economic-class immigration programs — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.
